Welcome Our Newest Member

We have officially added a new member to the Paggie Team (Thank you Tyler for the name!) Introducing the Paggie Waggie. We love our little submarine it’s so cozy, it’s like being in a pillow fort but for real adult life. It is a 2006 Toyota Hiace so it’s new (well its considered new in NZ) and drives so nicely runs on petrol and has pretty good gas mileage considering how big it is.

Windows with the crank

It took us about a week to actually get it all set up because everything we do is so difficult. It has bench seats, which have so much storage under them with a swinging table, which can be put down the middle to create a queen-sized bed. Or if we are really lazy the benches can be two twin beds. It has plastic like wood floors not carpet, we are hoping this will help keep it clean with our muddy shoes. It runs off a different battery so we can charge things and use appliances without the car going dead. It also has a refrigerator that can be turned into a warming draw (that aspect will probably never be used).

We even have a rug, so domestic

Really the only reason we have a refrigerator.

We put the empty luggage on the roof rack to make more space. Gladus Anne would be so proud of me for figuring out the ratchet straps (the things used to put hay on trailers or to hold her cart on her trailer) to ties the luggage up there. It did take us about 45 minutes to figure it out but we did it! The roof rack also has an extendable awning, storage tube for chairs, and a tube for water that will heat up during the day so we can take a quick warm shower if we need to.  There is a sink inside that has water but it’s not heated.

We haven’t quite figured out the radio but we probably won’t use it much considering radio signal is very limited. We are also in the process of putting a mosquito net above the bed area because we are being eaten alive. Original Mike is helping us with that one; apparently you can just use a drill in a car. We can’t wait for it to get a bit warmer so we can sleep on the roof!

All in all we really love our Paggie Waggie, now all we need is a job to pay for the petrol!

Kitchen area.

Maggie can drive while I snooze (JK thats illegal)
